Our next chapter

A temporary home of safety, belonging, restoration, and purpose.

Casa Hogar will be a temporary home of love, safety, and restoration for girls and boys who have experienced abandonment, orphanhood, violence, life on the streets, or any circumstance that has deprived them of a safe family environment.

We will walk with each child toward the best possible future — including family reintegration when it is safe, viable, and authorized, or the alternative care determined by the appropriate authorities.

The heart of Baja Vision

See what others cannot yet see.

The message of the home

Here, you are not what happened to you. Here, we discover who you can become.

Our central message

Your story does not end with what happened to you.

Mission

A safe, stable, loving Christian home.

To provide girls and boys ages 5 to 13 who are vulnerable or without parental care a safe, stable, and loving Christian home — where they can experience God’s love, recover their dignity, heal emotionally, grow academically, and discover their talents and purpose — while working responsibly to restore their rights and build the best life plan for each child.

Vision

A restored generation.

To see a generation of restored children who are not defined by abandonment, violence, or the circumstances of their past, but who grow up secure in their identity, aware of their worth, prepared for life, and able to positively transform their families and communities.

Core values

Eight values that shape every day in the home.

01LOVE

Every person has immeasurable value before God.

02PROTECTION

Physical, emotional, and spiritual safety is non-negotiable.

03DIGNITY

No child will be defined by their circumstances or wounds.

04FAMILY

We promote belonging, stability, and healthy relationships.

05FAITH

We believe in Jesus and provide age-appropriate spiritual formation.

06EXCELLENCE

We pursue excellence in care, education, and administration.

07RESTORATION

We believe a wounded story can begin again.

08PURPOSE

Every child has abilities, talents, and a future.

Our care model

The VER model: See. Build. Restore.

“Ver” means “to see” in Spanish — the heart of how we care for every child.

Child protection first

The ministry exists to serve the child. The child never exists to serve the ministry.

Before the first child arrives, formal child-protection policies and procedures will be in place.

Operations will align with applicable Mexican law and the requirements of the competent authorities of Baja California and Tijuana.

Policies in place before opening
Screening of staff and volunteers
Physical contact and communication
Supervision
Incident management
Reporting channels
Confidentiality
Visitors
Photography and social media
Mandatory training
Response to suspected or disclosed abuse
The child-protection role will have the authority and operational independence to stop unsafe practices and protect the child — regardless of internal hierarchy.
Strategic roadmap

Building it right, step by step.

Year 1

Build the foundations

Legal incorporation and permits, safe facilities, child-protection policies, screened and trained staff, partnerships, individual care plans, program launch, and a sustainable financial model.

Years 2–3

Consolidate

Strengthen psychological and educational care, talent and mentoring programs, business and community partnerships, scholarships, wellbeing indicators, and sustainability.

Years 4–5

Multiply

Follow-up with graduates, scholarships and job readiness, a formal mentor network, prevention and family strengthening, and a responsible evaluation of expansion.

10-year horizon

Transform a generation

Measure not only how many children were served, but how many stories took a different direction.

Measuring impact

How we will know it’s working.

Our goal is to form young people with education, emotional stability, spiritual formation, life skills, and strong support networks.

Success is not only how many children were served, but how many stories were able to take a different direction.
Every child with an up-to-date file and individual care plan
School attendance, retention, and progress
Social-emotional progress assessed by professionals
Access to and continuity of medical and psychological care
Participation and growth in talent programs
Stronger family bonds, when appropriate
Compliance with child-protection standards
Outcomes after leaving the home, with follow-up
Sustainability

A home built on many hands.

Casa Hogar will not depend on a single source of funding. Its model will bring together:

Our promise on dignity

Fundraising will always protect the dignity and privacy of the children.

A child’s image or identifiable story will never be a condition for receiving support.

Why Casa Hogar

More than a bed, food, and a roof.

Baja Vision was born from a desire to make visible what so often remains invisible: the needs, the potential, and the hope behind every story.

We believe that helping does not only mean responding to an immediate need; it means walking with people and building opportunities so they can live a different story.

Casa Hogar is born from that conviction. We want a child who arrives here to find more than a bed, food, and a roof. We want them to find safety, belonging, love, education, restoration, and hope. We want them to know that their past does not have the last word over their future.

Our desire is to raise a generation that knows its worth, discovers its abilities, and can one day look back and recognize that, in the middle of a difficult story, God placed people willing to walk with them.
